Summer Tree inventory Sessions
Jul

to Aug 31

Summer Tree inventory Sessions

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:30 am - 1:30 pm, July 11th - August 31st.

We are currently conducting an inventory of all street trees in six neighborhoods in Bridgeport. This inventory will help us determine which areas in Bridgeport are in the greatest need for new tree plantings, and therefore lay the groundwork for future tree plantings. Additionally, it will help us to document and respond to maintenance needs of the existing trees.

During each inventory session we’ll work together to inventory trees within a specific neighborhood. We will be working through this project one neighborhood at a time, and location will change based on which streets we are inventorying on that particular day. Once you’ve signed up for a particular session, we’ll email you with details on where to meet.

Please note in the schedule above that Tuesdays are designated as “training + stewardship” and Thursdays are marked as “stewardship only.” We ask that you attend a Tuesday session, where we will focus on training new volunteers, before attending a Thursday session where we’ll be spending less time on training, and more time conducting the inventory.
