GWB’s Day in the Life series brings in speakers from a wide range of professions to discuss their lives and careers, with the goal of exposing our youth program participants to many different career paths and to the lessons that these professionals have learned throughout their lives.
For our July talk we will be hosting Eugene Baah, who has had a fascinating career filled with unexpected twists and turns. He started his career as a professional basketball player in Europe then worked for the Philadelphia 76ers in public and community relations. From there, he became a mergers and acquisitions investment banker at JPMorgan, led strategy and business for teams at XBox within Microsoft, and eventually taught himself how to code and started a company called Resoltz Education. When the company failed, he became a software engineer at Slack and then led an engineering team building APIs for a real estate software startup in Sacramento, CA. He is now a proud house husband to his life partner, an Oncology Pharmacist with whom he’s raising four children under the age of 7.
Whether you are interested in pursuing any of these paths or just would like hear Eugene tell his story, you are sure to learn a lot from this talk!
