Join Groundwork Bridgeport in planting 25 trees at Knowlton Park as part of a larger effort to expand Bridgeport’s tree canopy. No previous experience is necessary to participate, as all tools and instructions will be provided.

Knowlton Park is located in the East Side neighborhood of Bridgeport, along the Pequonnock River. The park is beloved by anglers and many more! These tree plantings will eventually create a substantial tree canopy on the site, and offer many environmental benefits to the community at large and to park users by improving air quality, cooling the air, reducing flooding, and increasing people’s overall physical and mental wellness.
